Finding the right NDIS provider is one of the most important decisions you'll make. Here's how to search, compare, and choose with confidence.

Where to search for providers

• NDIS Provider Finder — search by service type and location on the NDIS website
• Provider websites — many providers list their services, pricing, and areas online
• Local Area Coordinators — your LAC can recommend providers in your area
• Community groups — other participants and families often share recommendations

What to look for in a provider

When comparing providers, consider:

• Services offered — do they provide the specific support you need?
• Experience — do they work with people who have similar needs to yours?
• Pricing — are their prices within the NDIS price guide?
• Availability — can they deliver at the times and locations you need?
• Communication — do they respond promptly and clearly?
• Registration — are they NDIS-registered? (Registered providers meet NDIS quality and safety standards)

Questions to ask before choosing

• What experience do you have with my type of disability?
• How do you handle cancellations and scheduling?

How to switch providers
